At Betanzos HB, we manufacture hardboard using eucalyptus forestry by-products sourced from sustainable forests, as certified by FSC and PEFC. Most of these materials come from nearby forests in Galicia.

The high standard of our materials is directly linked to the quality of our products, while also enabling their reuse at the end of their life cycle.

A clean
process

The production process uses only wood as raw material, along with thermal energy from biomass. Biomass is a clean, safe, and efficient energy option that contributes to environmental preservation.

ABSENCE OF
CHEMICAL ADHESIVES

Unlike other boards, Tablex Hardboard contains no artificial adhesives or added formaldehyde. We use lignin, an organic material naturally present in wood with thermoplastic properties, as the product’s natural adhesive.

BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT

Betanzos HB is firmly committed to complying with applicable regulations as well as the defined ethical values and standards. To this end, it has established a Compliance Management System, which includes a code of conduct and principles designed to promote an ethical culture across all areas.

As part of this system, Betanzos HB includes an integrated management system and has certified its management processes as follows: employees health and safety management under ISO 45001, environmental management under ISO 14001, quality management under ISO 9001, wood chain-of-custody management under FSC and PEFC standards, and a SURE biomass sustainability system.
